Anatomy Scan

I reached the halfway point! We were so excited for this appointment because we were either going to confirm or squash that we were having a girl. I was prepared to hear both, but had a feeling we were still having a girl. This appointment required me to drink 32 oz of water an hour before, so I was in so much discomfort! I said then that if I can get through this I can get through labor ha ha. I know that I will probably regret saying that later, but that's what epidural's are for! Luckily they just needed to see where the placenta was located and they let me got to the bathroom....thank goodness! The ultrasound tech began looking at the baby and asked if we wanted to know the gender..both of us said YES! So she got the wand in position and the baby was not shy about showing off ha ha. There was no doubt in the tech's mind that we were having a girl! So it was official now. Everything looked perfect and she was growing right on target. She was also squirming around a lot! She gave us about 3 yawn's during the sonogram too, it was so cute I couldn't help but giggle. It was amazing to see the changes from my first ultrasound to this one. It is truly a miracle that our bodies can create life. You could see every bone, every organ, every finger, every toe...truly amazing!
